To U.S.A Importing Process:

These scooters are more than 60 years old - 1960s . There will be no duty tax on them.

 Steps: When scooter comes to Long Beach CA Port or any USA ports , the shipping company  in U.S. will notify you of your scooter’s arrival by sending you a “ Arrival Notice” officially letting you know your crate has arrived, and giving you the time period you need to pick it up in (about 10 days). You simply take the documents they send you to the 8th floor of the office building at 301 E Ocean Blvd. in Long beach (plenty of parking). When you get out of the elevator, go to the "Informal Arrival" counter that you can see immediately upon exiting the elevator. They will "clear" your crate and stamp your documents. Take these to the warehouse nearby, (about three miles away), and after parking on the side of the building where you enter the gate, you take your paperwork to the office, (bring a copy of the payment you send to the freight company just in case) and they will have someone load your crate into a van or pick-up truck. This cost about $35.00. (I don’t know if they will let you and a friend load it from the dock or not… maybe you will not have a loading fee). If you cannot pick-up the crate, the shipping company will have someone that can act as your broker, and freight forwarding to your address can be done through them over the phone. (Also, before you go to pick-up your scooter, be sure to call to check that the freight company has sent the warehouse the paperwork releasing your crate (proof that you paid the fees) and you pay for shipping fee ( and other fees) by sending them a check .   

NOTE:

 - If you want to have an Agent to have Customs Clearance for you then contact local warehouse , clerks will recommend you one and there is a fee. When Agent gets it done, you just come to pick it up with your truck.

 - Warehouse allows you 5 days for whole process, any delays , some fee will apply. Good idea is to pick up on time. There are some other fees such Handing fee, Destination charge and also your scooter will required to go to CHP for checking before you can get it to DMV for Titling.

To U.K. Importing Process:

There are no problems importing, and on historic vehicles there is no duty and 5% VAT. Declare it as an historic vehicle, otherwise the rates are higher. You need a VAT receipt from Customs to later register it at DVLC. A receipt from the shipper is not accepted by DVLC. Give Customs a call and ask what forms you need in order to clear the scooter yourself and save any charges there.

To Australia Importing Process:

We’ve been told that you need to apply for an import permit before the shipment arrives. Please make it with the docs copy we send you as we hear that otherwise you'll be fined by the Authority there. You can click here to download for application form. Apparently, though two-wheeled vehicles are never mentioned (all other categories pretty much are) you are included in that legislation.
 

To Canada Importing Process:

There are no problems importing, though we’ve been told in Canada to make sure you get a Form 1 from Customs to use when registering.

To Norway Importing Process:

The vehicles if before 30ys have no problems and can be imported free of duty under classic category.
 

Other Countries:

You may pay some duty tax on your scooter such as 12% for New Zealand….  Please check your country regulation before ordering. Japan, need to pay some VAT tax.. around 10% of invoice value.. Shipping is real cheap though

Ocean Freight Charge ( Viet Nam port to major abroad ports): USD 350 OR Airlines: USD 1100-USD 1400 (seasonal)

DDC Charge: USD 80

AMS Fee: USD 60

I.T Charge: USD 70

Handling Charge: USD 125

Port Security Fee: USD 45

Pier Pass Charge: USD 40

In Summary: Shipping fee ( USD 350) + Destination port Fees (USD 420)

• Destination port Fees may varied depends on the policy of the ports. Most ports in the USA only ask for USD 400 as total fees. Please note that we do not collect Destination port Fees but your local ports do.

• The Total Estimated Fees covers all the shipping fees from Viet Nam port to any major ports in the world. This is the total fees that you should pay then you can pick your scooter home in your truck.

Important Note: We are not responsible for any damages or loss during shipping to your destination. Insurance for total loss is included by shipper but damaging is NOT. If you want to buy insurance, you can ask us to buy on your behalf (with extra charge). You will pay some additional fee if you choose to buy damage coverage by yourself. However, look at our packaging, the chance to get damage is almost zero.
